Yes, but not on their expedition,. They made it back safely. Clarke married, but Lewis did not and tragically commited suicide (he had suffered from depression periodically througout his lifetime).
By the way, the DVD form PBS, "Lewis and Clark, The Journey of the Corps of Discovery" is very well done, as it the book.
