I learned a great card game in Nurnberg ~1970 but can't find rules now.

Named "Hertz" I think, but wasn't the normal Hearts game.
Cards 2-6 in each suit removed, then 5 cards dealt to each player (2 or more). Trump suit declared; the 5 tricks played; points counted.
Each game went quickly but a number of games played to declare winner.

I liked it esp. bec. it could be played quickly, & bec. was a good way to introduce concepts of tricks & trump. Any info?

Jedes kleine Spiel ging schnell aber Anzahl von Spielen gespielt.
Ich mochte es, besonders weil es schnell gespielt werden könnte, & auch, weil es eine gute Weise war....info?

PLEASE NOTE... this is NOT the same cardgame as the common "Hearts" game... or any of its variations I've found.

This is not really an answer, but a suggestion: Try posting this same question (English & German) in the German version of "Answers" called "Yahoo! Clever" http://de.answers.yahoo.com/

Hm, that sounds kind of like a game I used to play called Mau Mau, but I played it with Bavarian playing cards.
