My pc came with 30 gb hard drive ,It only has 3.5 gb left.I removed almost eveything ,but can't get any back

Why is there only 3.5gbs left. defrag was done! disk clean was done ! Removed unused hardware.spyware removed.

Possible areas that are unexpectedly using disk space:

- Windows Swap File
(right-click "My Computer" choose "Properties" then choose the "Advanced" tab. Choose "Performance Settings" & "Advanced" again. It will display how much disk space is allocated to Virtual Memory.

- Temporary Internet Files
Open Internet Explorer, go to "Tools" , "Internet Options" & clear the Temp Folder

- Temp files under your profile in the "Documents & Settings" Folder. Open "Windows Explorer" go to "Tools" then "Folder Options" then "View" ... check the "Show hidden files & folders" option.

Now got to your C Drive & open this directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Temp

It may contain gigs of unnecessary files that can all be safely deleted...it will not allow to to delete any files in use by Windows but those are usually very small. Please delete as many as it allows.

Also check the " C:\WINDOWS\Temp " folder ... all those files may be deleted as well.

Finally, check your " C:\Program Files " directory for any programs you uninstalled yet still left trace files on the PC.

try removing unwanted programs by using add/remove programs, if u still suspect some unwanted progam is just taking space , pls check folder by folder and delete the unwanted files but donot delete any thing on the Windows folder and program files folder which has important programs

also try to delete and recreate the temp folder and temorary internet folder under the windows folder most of times if would solve the problem

go buy a new hard drive. 250gb drives for 60 bucks
