Yes it is possible to love more than one person, because really and truly you usually are in love with just one of them. In life you can love more than one person because they both bring something different that makes you love them both. but when it comes down to it one of them really has your heart.

The more people you love expands your capacity to love. There is nothing wrong with loving multiple people. But can you love this way without hurting all the people you love? Ask yourself if your love may be differently motivated by different people. Is there one person that satisfies the most needs for you? Is one love more or less selfish than another? Do you satisfy that person's needs with your love? Is it a giving thing or a needy thing?

A truly and honestly loved person is a wonderful thing--that person blossoms and grows before your eyes. It is a generous and perfect gift to give someone. If you are lucky, someone will love you back the same way.

I truly believe in all the world there is a soul mate - the perfect match- for each and every one of us. I do believe in true love. I dont believe you can love two people at the same time. Not as far as being IN LOVE anyway! A heart is capable of loving in many different ways but a heart can only handle one true love. I do believe if that love is gone such as by death- u can find a new love and happiness again. But reserve the heart for one at a time so that you can dedicate your entire heart and soul to that one special someone!

I love my wife and children and dog and parents and brothers and sisters.

However, do I think I am in love with more than one person? No

Mentally put the two people in a boat. They have an anchor tied to each other them. You can only save one. You don't have time to rationalize anything because if you read this second sentence they are both dead and the answer is you love yourself.

Of course it is. It is also possible to be "in love" with someone but not love them anymore. This is usually when you realize that the person is bad for you in some way...... good example Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee

You can love everyone as a human being or should I say have love for them without expecting anything in return. Once you expect something in return it will only lead to suffering and attachment. Also, you should not love anyone the way you would your spouse, that kind of love is sacred between the two of you.

Yes, I think its possible to love more than one person, I went through the same problem.
My children father left me and married someone else. It hurt me like nothing else, but I forgave him. And I have told him that I still loved him. I'm now in another relationship with someone else. I love the man that I'm with but I will always love my children's father but don't mistake that love for lust.

It depends on your definination of "love" in this case. For, example I "love" my whole family. When it comes to my wife being unfaithful would prove that I don't love her but that I'm just about myself. So the answer is yes and no.
