Because there is no multiplication or division, you can simply do it all in order:

2+2=4-7= -3+1/4= -2 3/4+2 = -3/4 or -0.75.

Let's break it down using order of operations:
2 + 2 - 7 + .25 + 2
4 - 7 + .25 + 2
-3 + .25 + 2
-2.75 + 2 = -.75
So the answer is -.75 or -3/4.

The answer is actually: -.75.

You must do the division first. so 1 / 4 = .25
then just add 2 +2 = 4
subtract 7 4-7 = -3
finally add 2 -3+2 =1
Add -1 plus the .25 and it equals -.75

Do the division first 1/4 = .25

Then the addition and subtraction

2+2+2+.25 = 6.25 - 7 = -.25

-.25 or -1/4 is your answer!

Mathematical operations are ordered as such.

(P)MDAS -- parentheses, multiply, divide, add, subtract.

2+2-7+1/4+2 (add)
= 4 - 7 + 2.25 (move)
= 4 + 2.25 - 7 (add)
= 6.25 - 7 (subtract)

Sometimes it's easier to draw a picture of it or think of it in money terms.

4-7 = -3
-3 + 1 = -2

yeah I know. Math sucks
but I can do basic math.
I believe it's 5
if you do order of operations
