Hi there,

I will soon come to Dublin for holydays, and I've never been there before ; which places should I discover ? I really like parties or other night trips… Thanks for your answers !

NB : I come from France and I really like Guinness :)

Well, first of all, if you like Guinness you should definitely go to the Guinness brewery and get the Storehouse Tour of the factory! Ive never done it but apparently it is great fun...and you get a free pint of Guinness at the end :-)

Fun things to do at night? You should try the Dublin Ghost Bus Tour, a bus tour of all the haunted places in Dublin city...scary! And If you go to the tourist office on Suffolk Street you can find out about late night walking tours of the city, some of them are fantastic!

Parties and nights out? For a tasty dinner and great cocktails try Thunder Road Cafe in Temple Bar (it's a rock and roll and motorbike themed resteraunt similar to the Hard rock cafe etc...) Across the road from there is a nice bar called the Morgan Hotel, nice atmosphere and a fantastic roofed 'smoking garden'!

Capitol Bar (Aungier St.) for good cocktails, Whealans (Wexford St.) for fun and live music, Temple Bar area can be fun...it has lots of busy bars and several excellent restaurants (I recommend Luigi Malones). It can get very busy and crazy at the weekends!!! Avoid Club-M...it is terrible!

Hope this can help!!!

Check out the website www.dublin.ie or ireland.ie they will have loads of places to go. Stay out of the city centre, very expensive and not a true reflection of the Irish culture scene. Its a no smoking country too remember. Enjoy your trip.
