you've probably got a mass air flow sensor problem. It's really hard to say with out more information on the car. also other possiblilties could be: fuel filter, fuel pump, catalictic converter, TPS switch, etc.... If you want a more help than what i've given, I need more information on the car. Hope this helps!

You do not say what car or model old or new, at a guess if an old car, fuel pump , blocked fuel filter if fitted, if injection fuel pressure pump, fuel pump relay, ecu, or a very late car with multi computer management could be so many things you would need a computer check to isolate it

I had that problem with my honda accord, and it was the gas flow sensor (code 45 from my check engine light). If you light comes on, check your wires under the passenger dash for the code, and you can get a book, call a mechanic or parts store, or look up the code online for the exact problem.

could be the catalytic converter, the stuff inside may of colapsed and is blocking the flow of air therefore there is no power, this is assuming your car has a cat. will need replacing and would cost around £150-200 quid depending on type of car.

Not much info here. All I can say is that an internal combustion engine needs spark, fuel, air, and compression to operate adequately. You will have to start there. Hope this helps!!
