Site, sounds, energy, radio, heat and pretty much everything has one thing in common. Frequencies are it. Sound is a frequency of vibrating sound waves while site is based on frequencies of light energy. Light and vision can be though of as frequencies, or emotions of energy. This is why each color invokes some type of human reaction that is very similar for almost all people.

"Gold is a shiny metal, gold is the way the sun feels on your skin."
That's the only analogy I could think of, but tuly, it's impossible to describe a color to a person who has never had vision. Even the use of the word "Shiny" in my "analogy" is useless, as a blind person has no idea what shiny is!

Take them outside and hold their hand to the sun, give them (to hold in their hand), a heavy rock that is square in shape(palm size). Make sure the rock is warmed up nicely so they can feel the color. The color gold is brilliant like the sun. Warm and inviting, it gleams like the metal on a trumbone or buggle. That would be the way I would try and tell them.

it's as knotty as explaining what it feels like to look at the colour green to a blind-born person.

Perhaps it'd be better if you tell him this colour is related to richness, wealthiness etc. That very few real people manage to have any chance of seeing it by themselves.

I think you can't. But each metal has it's own sound when it hits a rough surface. Maybe you can let him feel the sounds of different metals and make him recognize the sound of gold.

I have no idea. This is a very good question. Maybe trying an analogy with the sun, the warm heat of the sun in the morning.

I think the colour gold is royal - explain it in comparison to something expensive and big. - its difficult, - i can see your problem - shiny? perhaps? reflects light - makes it look even more spectacular. i really dont know but i hope that helps :)
