If you are a UK (or Schengen - European) citizen, you will not need a visa for a holliday trip to The Netherlands. But you do have to bring your passport, as it is obligatory to carry it on you where ever you go.
If you are a non-European citizen living in the UK:
The UK visa is not valid for travel to The Netherlands, as UK is not part of Schengen.
If in doubt, check at Google for the Netherlands Embassy of your country of origin.
Good luck!

Not if you are a British citizen. If you have a different nationality you might have to get a visa.
