Beyond what is known as the physical universe, what is there? So to speak, what is it expanding into? I know we can only generate theories, but I would love to hear a great one. Thank you

How can you expand into something "that isn't there?" The theory is that the Universe is without end and that to define an end for it is unnatural. The very fact is, that galaxies are speeding away from us near or at the speed of light and this means that we (as of now) do not live in a closed universe, but an ever expanding one. Why should our universe have limits and its possible that even if it did, we wouldn't recognize them for the edge of the universe that it was. Also, with the Kaluza-Klein and M-theory out there, its possible that outside universes could always interfere or play a role in our ever expanding universe.

I assume you are defining 'universe' as the matter created in association with the 'big bang' or whatever, which created our known physical universe. It is, quite simply, expanding into empty space where no matter existed until our expanding universe entered it. Since it is unlikely that our 'big bang' is the only one that has ever happened or ever will happen, then eventually, our universe will expand into the space containing the matter of another universe which will likewise be in the process of expanding into the space occupied by ours. If one considers the 11 dimensions in which our reality exists, then it is actually possible that our universe or another universe is already occupying the same space, but in a different dimension from ours.

Assuming the universe is constantly expanding, and assuming there is something "beyond" the physical universe, the universe is expanding into nothingness.
If the size of the universe, which encompasses everything by definition, is increasing, something is coming from nothing.

If something grew to become into previous the tip, it would not be the tip. in accordance to the modern perspectives of cosmologists, if the universe's average density is above a serious fee, the universe curves decrease back in on itself, meaning you ought to holiday in a at present line and finally finally end up decrease back the place you all started. If that's below that serious fee, that's going to boost continually.

The best theory I have heard is that we are inside another universe. Some scientists believe we can create a universe inside this one (see the link below). The theory is that we are on the inside of a big black hole.

At the end of the universe is a place where there's rainbow skies and candy cane trees. Don't you have enough to worry about right here on Earth?

I believe this Universe is a membrane, but it does indeed expand into nothingness, along with billions of other Universes.

there is nothing beyond the universe, because all of the mater and energy that exists is defined as part of the universe. therefore if there is anything outside of the universe, it is part of the universe because everything we know of is made of mater or energy.

hmmmmm........there are many, many theories about that but the most plausible is the Big Crunch. Everything that IS would become it IS NOT. Our small brains can't imagine how everything would be without matter, space and time...

Nothing - NO THING - nada
There is no 'space' because space is defined by the matter that is in it. No matter - no space. No space - no matter.

You'll just love this - The center of our universe IS the universe.
