Gandhi called as Father of Nation for many Political reasons. This is creation of Congress Govt. at that time. They are always using name of Gandhi in election, while Gandhi never in Congress.
As we call our nation ‘BHARAT MATA’ and this is our MATRABHUMI so on one can made any Father of Nation. The concept of ‘Father of Nation’ is a simply Political.
We, Indians will always say and worship our BHARAT MATA, not any type of Political Father of Nation.

Who says Gandhi 'Father of Nation' it is just political creation of congress for self benefit.Gandhiji was a differant character should not be targeted by any means but today the story is differant. Bharat Bhumi or Hindustan is itself Mata or Mother of people in this country. No other alive or dead men/women can be Father or Mother of this nation.Very defficult to find out mother or father of this very old nation which haves thousands of years of history so just call "VANDE MATARAM".
