I need some advice from people in a similar situation, who have managed to complete a pregnancy. Im fearfull this is yet another misscariage. Is it my age, im 38?

All the advice your getting is right on. I had 3 miscarriages, all after 6mths. I also have 2 very big strong sons, 31 & 28. My daughter-in-law had 3 misscarages, all at 17 or 18 weeks. Then she got pregnant again and I demanded she see a better doctor {they are in the military} and low and behold my son fought like a mad dog and found an off base doctor for her. She needed hormones and testoseron shots for 9 days, and now I am BLESSED with 3 beautiful and healthy grandchildren. CALL YOUR DOCTOR

I've had 4 miscarriages. All ending about 6 weeks along. I am now pregnant 30 weeks and 1 day! There is hope. But the best thing for you to do right now is lay back put up your feet and call your dr. Or you can go ahead and go to the hospital brown discharge makes me thing that could be old blood. It might not be anything. But you need to all the doctor or go to the hospital.

I knew someone who had high risk pregnancies, 2 of them exactly, and a number of miscarriages. She had a miscarrage, then not long after was pregnant again. This time she took the medication given to her by the doctor (some horomone, I don't know what) for an extended period of time to be extra precautious. Also she had a c-section for the birth.

Talk to your doctor about, I think it is progesterone pills and taking them to help you carry the child more successfully.

I too had miscarriages. I now have a daughter who is 13 months and I am pregnant again...10 weeks. Slight cramping is very very normal. It is your ligaments stretching. One thing that can really help is relaxing. Try not to let every little pain or feeling worry you. The discharge is also very normal. Only be concerned if you have very sharp pains, and bright red bleeding. What you are describing sounds very normal. With my daughter, I called my OB every day with new worries and concerns. Don't be afraid to call your OB. Also, please try to relax. The more tense and scared you are, the more you can have problems. That's what my OB told me. And I would avoid sex until after the first trimester. Just to be safe. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Please enjoy it! Good luck!

You need to work very closely with your doctor through out your pregnancy. If you are concerned
please either call your doctor or call the hospital
and talk with a nurse. I don't feel your age has anything to do with it. Good luck.

Call the doctor, they'll understand you being worried about it if they know you've had several miscarriages. Most likely nothing is wrong though, you're baby is probably just implanting his/herself into your uterus right now (a small amount of spotting or bleeding like that is normal). Hope everything works out this time =)

i had repeated miscarriages and my doctor had me take one baby aspirin a day to help thin out the blood and facilitate a healthy placenta, you may want to mention this to your doctor before starting the aspirin regimen. Gave birth to a health 7lb. 1 oz boy
