Most likely due to a lack of self worth in some aspect of their own life. Far to often it is the lack of good parental supervision. Either crooks having kids for the welfare benefits or unfortunately a untimely death of a parent can spiral an otherwise good family out of control. Stupidity breeds stupidity as well as ignorance and hate. I commend those who break that cycle.

It takes just one person to say I am going to make a positive example for others to follow.

Look at some of the not so brilliant questions and absolutely thoughtless answers that can be found as you look through this and other forums on line.

because some people (the big kid ) have self esteem problems and the only way that they can feel big is by making someone feel little !! this is a deep rooted psych. problem often brought on due to mistreatment by a parent or older sibling or just generally feeling inadequate (which causes them to act out ,often they feel that the feeling is someone elses fault though it comes from within!)

If you are asking why bullies pick on smaller people, it's because their size gives them power. Bullies use their power to intimidate and hurt other people. The source of power could be: size, intelligence/knowledge, political status, position (e.g. boss).

If you are asking why people bully, it's because they need to hurt other people to make themselves feel better. Often, it's because they are the victims of bullies.
