If I intend to publish a book based on a real life experience, how do I go about it. I have the story. However, I need the services of a professional writer / publisher.

You're looking for a ghostwriter. There are certain companies that provide ghostwriters, but they charge a lot of money as a book is a lot of work.

They're called "ghost writers" because they write the text and put the famous person's name on it. The publisher usually finds the writer for the famous person. You might Google "ghost writers" and see what comes up, or you could try floating your idea to a publisher and see if they're interested.

You'll need to find a ghostwriter to write your memoir for you. This won't guarantee getting the book published, however.

The best way forward is to get yourself a literary agent. If you contact them and tell them briefly why your story is important, interesting or unique, then -- if they decide your story is good and likely to get publisher -- they will take you on as a client and find a ghostwriter and a publisher for you. They'll also be able to negotiate you the best deal with a publisher with advances and royalties, etc.

The following websites are a great source for finding literary agents:

Good luck!

To be honest, unless yoU ARE a celebrity, or this experience you speak of is so absolutely out of the ordinary it's totally amazing, no one is going to want to bother publishing it. Trust me, the publishing world (legitimate publishing, I mean) is not looking for the life experiene of some teenager, or anyone else for that matter, unless of course, that person is a noteworthy figure. Ghost writers don't come cheap, either, and they want to be paid up front. I would forget this idea.

There are professional writers online who will ghost write a book for you, or will work with you to help you write your book.

A good place to find them is the ticket2write group at Yahoo:

I think most celebs hire an infinite number of monkeys to write about their hollow lives. Why not write it yourself?
