The first and most influential Dr. Seuss book for me was "Green Eggs and Ham." I am being honest. Although my ignorance is "vast", according to some, I have read all his books and I still love the excesses it goes to in rhyme to prove its point. Is it the "best"? Those are not my words, but it gets my vote if it will help you complete that survey for your class project.

By the way, you should watch the Dr. Seuss MOVIE, "The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T." It's also one of the best movies of all time.

The Butter Battle Book: It's all about arms races and the escalation of conflict beyond reason. I also like Sneetches because it points out how ridiculous the society of conformity is.
