Why do DVD recorders have no Component - in video terminals?

If they do where can you find a model that does have them, they say they have the best recording capabilities.

Pressure from the recording studios on manufacturers to not include component inputs. They limit the input to composite so that you can't make high grade copies of shows and movies. That way if you want high grade copies, you will have to buy from the stores.

Try the Phillips DVD recorders, some have component input. Even with the component input the Phillips line of dvd recorders does not have good reviews at all.
