Love should not be confused in relation to respect, or on a loose level in relation to alternates for 'significant others' being a strong state of caring, empathy, or limited affection...
The 'making love', could literally be factored to be the stimulation process of the bonding chemicals... Hence even if you're only having sex with someone over and over, there's a good chance you'll end up bonded to them. Sex literally makes the love bonding chemicals that creates attachment to an individual whether you think you're in love or not.

None of you at this point have touched on the process of chemicals or hormones in the brain, and the physiological process. ;) The above article, is something similar to others I've seen in the past, though it doesn't do a fantastic job, it hits at least the basics. Peace...

Love is all about giving. Going out of ones own comfort zone to nurture the needs and spirit of another, specially when it is not comfortable to do so.
Love is the thankless act of a mother or father who cherishes the dirty little butt that they are wiping.
Love is being there for the sick and telling them that they look good and you have great hope for them.
Love is forgiving those who harm us.
Love is the greatest force in the Universe.

Love does not exist on the Material Plane. This world has only a perverted reflection of the Absolute or True love. That is completely spiritual and is in relationship with the Supreme Truth also known as God, Creator, Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu etc. God is Love and that is where to get love. In this world everyone exploits love so it is actually lust only to enjoy ones own idea. Read Bhagavad Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada. go to krishnaculture. for complete details. IT is the process how to give and receive love of God. Bhakti Yoga or to connect with God in love and devotion.

Love is selling your leather jacket to buy Christmas gifts. Love is staying up with someone who is sick and holding a cool washcloth to their forehead. Love is letting your best friend cry their heart out on your favorite shirt, and not even thinking about the fact that you're gong to have to walk around for the rest of the day with smeared mascara and snot on your shoulder.
Most people use the euphamism "making love" because they are ashamed of the word 'sex'. When you have sex with someone you truly love and who loves you, when you share that emotional connection and all you are trying to do is please one another, that is making love. If you're just in it to get off, you're f*cking.

Love - I think when two people completely accept each others reality and true face and they complement and match each other and care about each other and are supportive of the others needs in life and push each other to their true potential, moving together through life and not in opposite directions.. maybe this is close to love.

An event that happens when *only* two people are and must be in love with each other and who give and recieve mutual pleasure via. physical contact.
They must be in the "loving" frame of mind and not in it just for the physical pleasure. Must be intimate.
This excludes quickies.
The connecting of two people's souls through two people's bodies, as one. When there is no stronger way to express your love than sexual intimacy. Wanting to please each other, make the other happy, share everything, be as close as humanly possible.
Nice and slow, sensual, tender, romantic, beautiful. Flowers, candles, massages. Releasing sweet passion and love to your love. Holding each other and cuddling after with whispers of I love you.

Love ,i think is an intense feeling of wanting, needing, connecting, over and above every thing else you have in your life.Making love is so named because the act its self emulates something two people who love each other can share without boundry's as a natural next step to saying,i love you.Making love also gratifys our carnal urges.
