I just want to be a make up artist, i don't want to learnabout nails? cosmetology school?

I just want to learn about skin and makeup so i can be a professional makeup artist. I know I have to go to cosmetology school. Are there any makeup schools for makeup artist? B/c i just want to learn about makeup and skin. Thanks

You don't actually need to go to cosmetology school to do makeup. Depending on where you lvie or where you are willing to travel to, there are a number of schools where you can learn make up artistry, and during your course you will learn a lot about skincare and products for different skin types. If you're looking to do just beauty makeup, you can even try working for MAC cuz they'll give you training. If you're interested in doing special effects too, there are some great schools in the Los Angeles area and in NY, as well as other places. Most of these schools will start with Beauty makeup. You can try the Joe Blasco school, Makeup Designory(MUD) and others.

i am going to school to be an Esthetician and thats what we do is skin care and make up,waxing and facials. so check out a cosmotology school and ask if they offer an esthetician program. its a lot shorter in california its only 600 hours which is about 5 months. hope i could help good luck!

I'm not sure what any schools are called but you would want to look to get your estetician license, that is only learning about skin care, waxing, make up.

So learn nails too. Do you know how much that could help your future business if you were able to offer nails too? This is your education, why would you complain about NOT wanting to learn something???
