The attacks against any thing to do with Christianity are very real... the ones saying it is just a "myth" are the ones who are doing it...

The "War On Christmas" is just a part of the total "political Correctness" movement.
People who are insecure abut their own beliefs, fight against having symbols of other beliefs in the public sector.
They see a Christmas tree and whine that it should be removed because everyone's beliefs are private and shouldn't be challanged in public. A crech (nativity scene) causes them to fear that somehow Buddah is being attacked. A Star Of David becomes a neighborhood battleground. A head covering becomes an airline emergency. Lawyers, greedy for any time they can 'bill', convince these weak-faithed souls that they have a "right" to sue. Money changes hands and beloved symbols are trampled. They becom professional
"minorities", hired out by those who really only want to gain power and money.
Freedom of speech, press, assembly, and the other foundational rights of citizens are turned into Orwellean corruptions.
I re-read 1984 when my kids had to read it for school, and was amazed at how far our society has gone down the road toward "Big Brother".
This is not about one religion over another, but about the right of every individual American to decide what they can say, believe, and display.
If you don't like what someone is saying - either engage in intelligent debate, or ignore them. If you don't like what is being shown - put something up that is more to your liking, or walk away.
Quit acting like spoiled children and treat each other with love!
Allah, Jesus, Moses, Buddah, etc. all agree on this at least - why can't you!

This is a big myth. If you followed that story you would know the following:
The rabbi never once asked for any of the trees to be taken down. He only asked for one menorah to be displayed with the multiple trees.
The Christmas tree, Islamic crescent, and the menorah have all been ruled as secular symbols by the supreme court.
After Sea-Tac removed the trees (remember the rabbi never asked for this) he retracted the lawsuit, because he didn't want the trees taken down.
Sea-Tac has since started talking to the rabbi and are planning ways to have a menorah displayed with the trees for next holiday season.
This battle in the War on Christmas has been blown out of proportion.

The only war on Christmas is the one in the imagination's of Conservative Christian groups.
Aviator got it right except for one thing--there was NO lawsuit. The Rabbi's lawyer sent a letter to the airport reassuring them that a menorah display would not be a violation of the constitution--that's it!.
The ACLJ sends out EXACTLY the same letters (except about nativity scenes) to every single public school in the US every year--but no-one accuses the ACLJ of "suing" to put nativity scenes in schools.

Several years ago, in the hayday of political correctness, when Stewardesses became Fight Attendants, Christmas was considered too narrow a description for ALL the holidays being celebrated at this time of the year: Including Hannukah, Kwanzaa, and if anybody believes some of the characters in Seifeld, Festivus (well, why not.)
Of course Christian fundamentalists, always insecure in their belief (and unaware that Christmas was an adaptation of several pagan holidays) considered that an attack on their brand of Christianity.
It's only a war in THEIR opinion.

That article was intresting, but silly.
That rabbi pissed me of, why was he acting like he was the owner of an amerian airport, complaining that there should be a what memorah??? what ever! this crap is getting out of hand, Im just glad that the airport didn't put any of the things that guys wanted on the tree and just send him home... for once Im proud of that...
Its like everyone from another country comes into America and believe they own the place, only because americans will put their tails between their legs and do anything they say to make them happy, but whos going to do that for us?... whats going on AMERICA?
I love my Country, America is my country and I support it 100%
WAKE UP AMERICA!
Watch PATTEN one of the greatest AMERICAN movies ever!

No all the attacks are constant, remember the "holliday tree" anyone? Or any attempts to dismantle nativity scenes?
