'Racism' is defined by the belief that one race is superior to all others. I do not believe that.

I DO, however, believe that blacks are inferior to all other races. I believe that they have proven over time that they are incapable of adapting to a civilized society, and would be unable to survive without the generosity and charity of other races. Their race has made no contribution to society for the betterment of man, and they have squandered numerous opportunities to advance themselves.

I do not feel that way about Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, or any other race I can think of. I think each of them has made valuable contributions over the course of time to man.

Given that criteria, how does that make me a 'racist'?

Technically speaking, I guess not, though most would say you are. Who cares what they say though, its your opinion. I do agree with you about not being able to survive withough the generosity of charity.

Yes it does make you a racist. What you have said is incredibly ignorant and disturbing. You need to do some research on notable black people that have indeed contributed very much to the betterment of not only black people but everyone. To name just a few off the top of my head, how about, Rosa Parks and her son Gordon Parks who carried on her good work. What about Martin Luther King Jr or even Oprah Winfrey not that she is my cup of tea, but she has contributed a lot for different causes.

I am posting you a link for you to look at that has a lot more notable black people listed that indeed contributed towards the betterment of people. Please read the link!

I am not a black person so that is not why I am responding to your question. I am responding because I think you need to widen your knowledge on this subject as it is incredibly shallow and not well informed. There are many other links to be found on notable and worthy black people. Racism in any form is disgusting and stems from pure ignorance. All people should be treated equally. We all are made up of the same genetic code.

You are very clearly a racist and a very weak minded one too. I can not believe that if you were truly trying to determine if an entire race had no benefit you could not find one from example from blacks.

I assume your ploy is to get the pot churning about notable blacks and for fellow racist to chime in with cheers that blacks have no use! Well the day of blatent racism is gone for the most part. These days you need to take your thoughts in the outhouses behind your trailers.

But for the sheer slim chance you are really that mentally challenged goto wikipedia and search notable blacks and they will give you a long list which you are free to disregard, but at least I am answering your faux question. God Bless Everyone No Exceptions

Thanks for your question. It validates the question racism still exists. You are totally entitled to your opinion, but your generalize conclusion has no facts and you contradicted yourself.
You said you don't believe the definition of racism applies to your belief, but then in your SECOND paragraph start by saying that blacks are inferior....OK either you are lame or unaware about you say/type.

Read some books first...start with human civilization and geography books. Life began in Africa and therefore culture. Read about Timbuktu. Then from there we can move through the other points in history through the present. I did not join yahoo answers to teach, but you sound like you desperately need some knowledge. If you still feel the same way, at least you can be an educated racist. I respect them.

Here are the definitions of racism and prejudice- pick one

Prejudice is, as the name implies, the process of "pre-judging" something. It implies coming to a judgment on a subject before learning where the preponderance of evidence actually lies, or forming a judgment without direct experience. Holding a politically unpopular view is not in itself prejudice, and politically popular views are not necessarily free of prejudice. When applied to social groups, prejudice generally refers to existing biases toward the members of such groups, often based on social stereotypes; and at its most extreme, results in groups being denied benefits and rights unjustly or, conversely, unfairly showing unwarranted favor towards others.

This is different from viewpoints accumulated though direct life experience, which are neither prejudiced, conditioned or necessarily instinctive: they are not pre-judgments but post-judgments. Some argue that all politically based views stem from a lack of sufficient life experience; this, however, provokes the question of how much life experience is required before a point of view is no longer regarded as prejudiced. If no amount of experience entitles a person to a viewpoint - if every is biased - then there can be no objectivity. Judgements based on experience may, however, be coloured by prejudice. One might imagine a continuum from "prejudiced" to "based on experience," with many, if not most, views coming somewhere between the two extremes.

Racism is commonly defined as a belief or doctrine where inherent biological differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, with a corollary that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.[1]

The term racism is sometimes used to refer to preference for one's own ethnic group (ethnocentrism),[2] fear of foreigners (xenophobia), views or preferences against interbreeding of the races (miscegenation),[3] and nationalism,[4], and/or a generalization of a specific group of people (stereotype); regardless of any explicit belief in superiority or inferiority embedded within such views or preferences. Racism has been used in attempts to justify social discrimination, racial segregation and violence, including genocide. Politicians are known to practice race-baiting in an effort to win constituents.

The term racist, when used to describe someone who supports racism, has been a pejorative term since at least the 1940s, and the identification of a group or person as racist is nearly always controversial.

I used to believe all those minority groups were so whine about the "man" keeping them down etc.... Until I stared volunteering at a homeless shelter for women with children. Many people do NOT have the same education opportunities as most whites. When you grow up in a house, or community where you are taught to be lazy, and milk off the government how can you expect those people to be great humanitarian contributors? The government needs to get involved and MAKE the community responsible. People should not be able to collect unemployment for such long periods of time. If no one expects you to do great things, chances are you don't expect it out of yourself either.

You can believe what ever you want- but unless you have FACTS, (not to be confused with opinions) you are believing in something that has no sound basis. Racism as you defined yourself is a belief that one race is superior (making another group inferior by definition alone). So, you see you are a racist, I suggest some swift life kicking you in the pants therapy several times daily until you get over your problem!!!

You are racist, you generalize a whole group based on your limited opinion. You also do not have truthful information. You state that black people never made any contributions to society. What about the buffalo soldiers, Martin Luther King, Fredrick Douglas, Jackie Robinson and I can go on and on. Just admit you are a racist and hate black people at least that would be true.

It makes you stupid but not racists, the black man invented open heart surgery, gun powder, the traffic light, peanut butter, the engine and so much more. And even though there are ignorant people out there of every race still we rise above your empty thoughts, and yes the black man sold his own people into slavery this is true but the white man purchased them because they were too lazy to build houses, plant crops and so much more. What is the history of the white man he has none because American history is made up of stolen traditions from other races, the white man has always killed what he can't understand so you see you just need to read a bit more before you judge any race you sad little worthless thing you.......................lol

Jesus always took time to stop on the street to help the homeless, or crippled, or ortherwise down and out people. In the busy life he lived, nothing mattered when the blind man called out to him, or when the possesed boy was brought to him. We as humans are obligated to help people. We have forgotten that. Black people are humans just as you and I. They have hearts just as we do and they love the way we do. They have contributed to life in many ways. Your choice to not research these things is you choice. But Think about other races. In the middle east, they are fighting for reasons that don't matter. But even further, what about white people? I am full blooded German. But look back at what the germans did. Killed MILLIONS of jewish people for what? Research it. White people invaded North America and pushed the indians out, then brought black people here to be our slaves. See, We did bad things too. Now, the only thing I agree with is the distrust and tension between races in America. But it is people like you who keep reminding us about that tension and make people think about it all over again.

Judging someone as inferior based on race makes you a racist. If you can't see the contributions made by blacks for the betterment of mankind then you're just not paying attention. They are just as intelligent and capable as any other race. Pay attention and look for one that impresses you and then you'll see how wrong you are.
