Well, if you put stock in the theory of evolution, it makes sense that humans evolved that particular amount of toes because they were used by early ancestors (for example, to grip limbs of trees, or if we're talking aquatic, they were likely webbed like frog's feet for better propulsion). Now we just use them for balance. But that is a big deal as well...people who lose their big toe have great difficulty in walking and maintaining their balance, usually.

One day my cat licked my toes .In that time I learned more about sensciuos relationships-(love/hate in particular) than i've learned any other way. Toes are a direct path to your innerbeing if you give them the respect that the deserve.Check the kamma-sutra for the many pleasures that await you if you will open your mind to all that you possess.

I know toes aren't the same as fingers, but pinkies are very useful.

If you try to do something with your hand, but don't use your pinkie, you could find yourself having a hard time. The pinkie is the steadiest finger. It has more consistency in control than any other finger.

No, you do no longer. once you're status upright, almost all the rigidity on your foot is going to the balls/heels of the ft. The ft stick out of the physique, and the physique is aligned with the heels of the ft, so ft do no longer probable do something for you.
