I can play, Blackbird by the Beatles, Stairway by Led Zeppelin, some Steel Train, and Some Sublime......Any Suggestions? Something to give me inspiration, but I only play acoustic......

I started learning myself, and I found Bob Marleys, "No Women No Cry" was nice to practice.
It uses 4 chords. Starts with C, then G, then D, then A minor, and repeats.

smoke in the water doesnt sound like it but yea it did use fingerpicks.

I've been inspired by a fellow named Nick Drake to work on my fingerpicking as well. He put out 3 albums before he died, and the last (Pink Moon) was just solo guitar and vocals... so it's good for this type of thing.

it is an unwritten law that if you play guitar, you have to know the beginning riff of Smoke On The Water.
as for suggestions for acoustic: country (old and new) dan seals, willie nelson, and some newer ones such as: toby keith, the wreckers, etc.

lower than THE BRIDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and at the same time as My Guitar gently Weeps. i'd also propose Snow (hey Oh!), Dani California, American fool, vacation, Smells Like youngster Spirit, In Bloom, Lithium, Readymade, Californication, supply it Away (by using pink warm Chili Peppers), Funky clergymen, Everlong, heart attack (by using Sum 40-one). reliable success.
