Visiting Greece (Cyprus 6 times) several times a year since over 14years, I have firm ideas based on personal experiences and literature on this issue. Whatever my personal conviction, every day now because of the eventual EEC membership of Turkey, I try to guide myself through this complicated matter. If there is a need to start a political forum on this issue, does it need to be brought on 'travel'.... 'Greece' ..?

The problem is that this is Yahoo answers for UK and USA and we don't have a Greek Yahoo answers so we have to post in this site. But in this site the only place that you can post about Greece is travel

It's not only because of Survivor. Turks and Greeks are getting to know each other, world is changing. Many people are realizing how this two countries are similar, day by day. Friendly messages are being posted from both sides.
Travel category is wrong I agree. Maybe because there's only travel category for these countries. Maybe this way is more organized to view significant questions. There are also many Greek related questions in the Turkey category.
I'd love to see a Greek-Turkish relations forum. There's demand for it.

I would say this section is not so bad for political questions. Afterall when you are considering travel to a country it would be wise to be informed about the political aspects.
I think it is quite trendy to get tired of politics, but in democracies we should not allow ourselves to do that.
The politics also shape how our politics would look like. If now Turkey and Greece would be having military conflict in the Aegan sea then a lot of touris destinations would be affected.
Finally, I see no problem for such discussion under this section.
I think the best would be to make country special sections and discuss all issues there.

Also I asked some questions about Greek&Türk relations compulsorily in both Greek and Türkiye categories which are in the "Travel" section. Becoz I m sure that Greeks and Türks do not miss the questions in these categories.
And when I asked in "Politics" I had some stupid answers like "I prefer chicken to turkey", "I use grease for something else", etc. by other citizens!!!
So, advice us a better category?
I usually check the questions firstly in the category Türkiye and continue with neighbour when I open my Yahoo Q/A.

There are so many questions on this subject because there's a Survivor Greece vs Turkey.

I think it's because of "Survivor", Greece-Turkey! Maybe I am kidding, but in fact I could be right, because this game has made us think of each other every other day and see greeks+turks competing against each other, and turning the natural competition that occurs on survivor on a personal level into ethnical.

My point exactly...this is a section for travelling and info on the country not political views.
The Greek-Turkey political battle on this travel section is getting tiring.

agree witht he 2nd answer if survivior was not between Turkey and Greece you wouldnt have so many question. Its just a lot of nonsense.
