I have tried poison and it is effective but inconvenient. It kills a mole or two but in a few weeks more moles move into the old tunnels. Is there an effective way to rid them from my yard perios. I would like to use a shotgun but unfortunatley I cannot shoot in my neighbor hood. Is there some sort of grass treatment that is effective. P.S. it is winter time here but its like 65 degreess right now.

I used the combo approach with the poision peanuts and gopher gassers. The gassers fill their tunnels with a sulphur smelling toxic gas that kills them deep in the tunnels. No dead carcass to remove and the dead carcasses in the tunnels stops other moles from returning to use them. I treated the yard with insect repellent that kills grubs and treated the tunnels for about a month on the weekends and they haven't returned in 4 years.

There are may wise tails on how to get rid of moles but none work. Moles live off of the grubs that are in your soil/lawn. The mole is doing you a big favor by getting rid of the grubs and airating your soil. Once the food supply is gone the moles will move out

Back when I was newly wed, we had the same problem but not as bad as you. I stupidly stuck the hose in one hole and turned on the water. I should also tell you that we lived at the top of the neighborhood. Days later (forgot the hose was on) as I soaked the entire neighborhood and my now ex-husband said was the largest water bill he had ever seen, this little bitty mole ran out of a hole and my neighbors dog grabbed it. I'm not so sure this is good advice but will work.

Moles feed on the grubs eating the roots of your lawn. Treat your lawn to rid it of grubs. Then the moles won't have a food supply.
We got rids of ours that way.

I've heard good things about the ultrasonic ground vibration devices.

My dog also digs 'em up and kills them, but he's not for sale. :)
