Well, personally I think it takes a real man to show emotion. It also takes someone that is well balanced and able to be comfortable with that side of themself. You will find that people will respect you more for being able to do so.

All of that said, I guess it also depends on how you show it and to whom. I've learned the hard way that not everyone deserves to see that side of you. Some immature people out there can just use it as ammunition to judge you and criticize you. Not everyone needs to see that side of you. I does put you in a more vulnerable position and you'de want to reserve it for people you feel comfortable with and that you trust.

Men who can't show emotion, just end up paying for all of that pent up anger and hurt in the long run. Men die sooner, have more heart attacks, suffer from depression (which is simply anger turned inward), and/or take out thier hurts on those they love, or by abusing themselves.

I say-----let it out! You will be much happier.

Ron N hit the nail on the head.

Men are trained from a very young age not to show emotion, that is the only reason we are so messed up. Luckily some aren't and others get past the training. Most do not :(

No, I don't think its a weakness. But society has defined man with certain criteria. Unfortunately showing emotion is not one of them. While I think they have every right to be emotional as they want, doing so in certain places won't do much good for their image. Sad, but true.

Society has emposed that! From the start, it was thought that showing feeling as a male its a sign of weakness! Whos to judge really, if you dont care about others opinions does their belief on this matter really excist?

Only boys feel this way NOT men, grown men are complete human beings, they show emotions at different times and in different ways than women, yet they show them never the less.

That all depends...
I think sometimes, being the physically stonger gender (in most cases) a man's emotional indifference is needed to protect people.

In other situations, I think a man needs to show his emotions so that people can see how he feels, as well...

In my opinion, a real man will show his emotions because he's secure enough to know he'd still be a man & sometimes life gets to all of us

No I dont think, I love it when my husband shows me aattention in public. But you know you have to be careful, some people go to the extreme. That is when it gets sick. But just a kiss on the cheeck or putting his arm around youre waist then this is ok. i also think its ok for men to cry, this shows they are human
