To help him sleep try giving him his recommened dose of tylenoyl. Also some baby orajel should do the trick they also have a night-time formula. During the day, try a wet cold washcloth, allow him to chew on it, or a cold spoon. I put some link at the bottom to help.

Call the baby's pediatrician to check this and get an accurate doseage, but my sons' doctors always said to give children's liquid ibuprofen (Motrin) because this is an anti-inflammatory, and the infant's gums are inflamed. Plus, relief lasts 6 to 8 hours, whereas Tylenol only lasts 4 hours. Also, a cool, clean, wet cloth for them to chew on helps, just make sure to supervise baby at all times.

Tylenol and Advil will help him feel better, also you can apply orajel directly to the sore gums....my son has always loved pickles, even as a teething baby and I think the cold, firm pickle soothed his sore gums. As soon as he got a couple of teeth, though we had to stop with the pickles because he could bite a piece off and get choked on it. Until he gets a tooth, see if he will like to chew (gum) on a pickle.

My granddaughter is teething now too. We give her Tylenol every 4 hours and we have a homeopathic store nearby. They sell these little pills called Humphrey's Teething Pills. They have helped a great deal and she slept through the night the past 2 nights.

You can also buy teething rings that are a soft plastic with water (that you freeze) inside. The cold helps sooth the gums. Also, they make Orajel for babies that's safe to give them. Good luck and hang in there. My neice started cutting teeth at 2 MONTHS! My sister wasn't quite ready for it, but the teething rings and orajel helped a ton!

My baby liked to chew/suck on frozen bananas. Just freeze a banana in the freezer. Or baby oragel helped my baby a lot as well. I did both and she would be a little happier. Also, another thing you can do is a bath. Most babies love bath time. Mine would splash and play and sort of forget. Good luck!

We have found that the homeopathic teething powders help alot, and can be used with other forms of relief (gel, Calpol etc...) as they work completely differently. The instructions state to tip 1 sachet into babys mouth which sounds odd, but isn't as tricky as you might think.

They make a baby orajel. You also use a clean wash clothe with ice in it. My son loved Popsicle when he was teething . Popsicle Zone has this one one called mighty mini. They are smaller than regular Popsicles
