...today my base rate is $1,750.00 and I still get the 1% (of whatever we make each month). I just found out that my co-worker doesn't get commission, has been here for ONE year and makes $2,000.00 base. I feel screwed. I can't figure out whether or not I'm actually being screwed though... am I?

Well, right now business is slow so my commission isn't that great - but with a good market, the commission is really good. And because of the extremely slow market, and layoffs left and right... asking for a raise is just ridiculous.

it depends entirely on what the 1% amounts to if its less than $300, you are indeed getting screwed, Ask for a raise.
