The real question is when they receive several thousand answers to their questions do you think they look at all of them? I doubt it. They ask questions on here to appear to be just a regular guy or gal. They pretend to care about the issues they're asking about. But they don't ever put their money where their mouth is when it comes to actually helping solve the problems.

Perhaps we should ask Yahoo, if they do a check to ensure that the people who post really are who they say they are ? If I were a celeb, I do not think I would post a question, especially knowing the sort of answers I might get from the site! I think if it is them or their agents, it is for free publicity, exactly like the " z" class celebs on "get me out of here" Actually we should all boycott their questions. If they genuinely want answers to serious questions, then they should use an avatar name , the same as we do.

I saw this comic strip and it showed a dog sitting at a computer.
There was this other dog sitting on the floor. So the dog at the computer looks down at his buddy and says "Nobody knows you're a dog on the internet." My point is do you people really believe that there are really "celebrities in this forum. Now there may very well be some on-line. But do you reeaally know for sure? And if you believe everything you see, hear and read on your computer screen then I am really Chris Rock.

why do you have such a problem with it? You can't be sure it's actually them anyway- one of my mates poses as Dr. Phil on some other site. And if it is really them, they ask questions on yahoo answers for the same reason you ask questions and answer someone elses- it's entertaining and gives you insight on how different people think about certain situations. Rather attempt to answer their questions- some of the questions have substance.

So you are the Yahoo censor? The conscience of the world? Celebs have as much right to use Yahoo Answers as you or I do.

It's dumb. I never answer mainly because how will my answer compare to to the thousands of other answers which are all suck-up novels. If it was just anyone else asking that same question, 50 people would answer at most.

Publicity.
I think it's ridiculous. With the exception of Bono...who actually is an activist.
I highly doubt THEY are asking the question or reading the answers. It's someone who works for them behind the keyboard.

What's the problem? They're people too. I'll tell you what I think is worse - killjoys like you making a big deal out of something that isn't worth questioning. I bet you answer all the questions they post too.

I have no problem with it. Come on, they're people too why shouldn't they be allowed? Just skip their questions if you don't like it! Frankly I prefer to see real questions as opposed to some of the things people post on here just to wind each other up!
