To show love for the pet. Pets are family to. Cause they can afford it. Mine doesn't get anything but what she needs. She does get presents from other people. I just tell them thank you. She licks them, but she always licks them. Giving isn't done because the recipient wants or expects something. Giving is done because the GIVER wants to share something with the recipient. My cat has no idea what Christmas is. She's not expecting anything except some food, and a little lap time. Bringing her some extra tuna and a nip-soaked toy on Christmas gives me as much (if not more) joy than giving my dad a new pair of slippers. I'm not likely to spend more than $10, but I'll get a response that would only come from humans if I were to give a $1000 gift. Because since the dog is apart of your family then why should he not get a present.

Yes, I do. My fiance bought his pet snake some things for him to climb on, like a little jungle gym for a ball python, and he'll be getting him his first small rat right around Christmastime (so far he's just been eating large mice). I got my pet rabbit a treat and a plush toy for her to throw around, and I got my rosey barb some pretty gems for her tank. They're all sitting under the Christmas tree, but they'll have to open them up at different times, since the snake can't be around the rabbit, for obvious reasons. :)

How sweet! I buy them and wrap them, but my nut of a dog would just look at it, then me, then back to it.
She gets Christmas dinner too!!

Yes. I usually buy one toy or treat for my cat for Christmas. I would probably buy him something anyway. Christmas is just an extra reason to do it. If buy gifts for other people, then why shouldn't I do it for my cat?
