that sucks your mom wont let you get them. it has nothing to do with responsibility since you already have clear contacts...?
i've been wearing contacts since I was 13 also. I am now 20...so idk? there's nothing wrong with colored contacts..I love them..
I think the green ones would look good on you. Just ask her nicely. The colored ones are no different. Ask if you could atleast just get trials. They only last for like a week.

I have brown eyes and I wear contacts as well. I went to the place where I get my lenses and I tried on all different colors including green, hazel, brown, and even purple. They all looked muddy and fake. I think you are better off with your natural color. It seems like colored contacts in general look pretty fake. Some people get away with them better than others.
I do think that hazel or green eyes would look nice on you with that complexion and color of your hair. However if the contacts do not compliment your eyes it's not worth it.
Good luck!

I dont have them, I wanted them too. I like them because they give you the eye color you wish you had and they just give you a different look. Thats all. The bad thing about them is that it might be become this big thing and it makes people think that thats your true eye color and they'll like you for that (some guys these days). I dont think contacts in general are for look and show, but so you can see and make your eyesight better. Hazel would be cute. Ever thought about blue? I wanted them to look like a celeb I like, but now I'm not that interested. I'm suppose to wear glasses, I have brown eyes too. I'm not ashamed of them, I do my make-up to compliment them. Dont want them because its what everyone else has or because it makes you look cooler or this person you like. Maybe thats what your mom means.

as far as being responsible, colored contacts are the same as regular contacts, so i don't understand why you're mom won't get them for you. as far as being old enough, i wasn't allowed to get them until i was 15, but maybe if you pay for them yourself, it might change her mind. or if you prove to her that you are responsible that might change her mind also. on the subject of color, i would get green or a purple color. i think that would look great against your tan skin tone. one of my friends has brown hair and is tan and she has them in every color. the green and the purple look best on her. also unlike what everyone else says, if you get the correct contacts, they will show up, the brown in your eyes will not affect the color.

Right now show your mom u r responsible by not losing the contacts you now have. Try to get a baby sitting job on weekends and offer to buy them yourself! They really dont cost that much more than regular ones! I think its fine to have colored contacts I just really HATE it when its totally OBVIOUS like purple eyes or something really weird like that! it wont hurt to have blue eyes for awhile! Might even be fun! Ask for them for Xmas! Put them on your good girl list! Im a mom and id have no problem getting them for my kid! I think u would look really awesome with GREEN eyes with your darker features! My sons girl friend is Spanish and she has natural green eyes and it looks soooo soooo pretty!

The hazel will not show up with brown eyes (unless you have really light brown eyes). You have to have lighter eyes for the contacts to even take effect. Your eyes would be the same color, just slightly greener.

I think you would look cool with gold cat eyes. It is a cosmetic thing, just like applying makeup. You could have several sets of colored contacts to use for going out or changing your appearance for the holidays or whatever. The angle here is it is just like another cosmetic accesory. BUT you may have to come up with the cash for them in order to change your parents mind. The prices range from $25 to $100 or so per pair.

Look. No matter what anyone will say, makeup is designed to entice the opposite sex. Which is why parents don't want their kids fooling around with makeup until they are of some responsible age.
I'd recommend you pay attention to your mom. It's not the end of the world if you don't have colored contacts.

I have the same look/appearnace and ive always wanted green eyes but I went to the optometrist and he actually said that colored contacts flip easier and might even make your vision decline because sometimes the covered part covers ur pupils
so be happy with ur brown eyes!! BROWN EYES ROCK!
