A woman's body is very complicated, yes, stress can mess up the cycle of periods. You didn't mention how old you were....
Sometimes you can skip an entire period, and it will resume the next one.
Have you lost weight? Or exercise heavily? Some women athletes will skip periods if they are exercising heavily. There are alot of factors that could cause you to skip periods or delay periods. You need to check with your mother, or call a GYN.

Being stressed out can have a lot to do with it. If you relax more and eat three meals a day, drink a lot of fluids and don't worry about it that much things should go back to normal.
If not then I would defiantly see a Doc. Something could be blocking the blood from flowing correctly.

Stress can play a HUGE factor in timely periods. You will be fine once you loose the stress.

Diet an exercise can help keep you regular. It is normal to be iregular when you are young, and stress definately can screw up your cycle. You might want to check with your doctor anyway just to be safe!

i am in the same position, the same thing is happening to me right now, only im just days late. i even asked the same question here yesterday haha, lets not worry about it :) hey how old are you??
its weird how we (women) loathe and complain getting our period so much but the moment it stops comming we worry sick and beg for it to come back :S

if your only young i think its ok, iv been up to two weeks late, as long as you know theres no way you could be pregnant and youv been healthy your ok,it`l comeback. stress can affect it. I heard it can stop if your anorexic or really sick either.
