I like satin taupe from MAC with Celestial from bare minerals over it...looks quite nice on my green eyes!! I personally do not like purple...I know they say thats what you are supposed to wear with green eyes...but I hate it! I like shimmery browns. I think they look the best on me.

As a former makeup artist, these were some of my favorite combos/singles to do on green eyes, especially when going for a more everyday look rather than an 'in your face' dramatic look which a lot of people don't want to do every day. Plus these are average priced brands as well to keep you on a budget. =)

Clinique: Shadow duo Starstruck/Golden Lynx - Using a black pencil liner.

Prescriptives: Shadow singles, Champagne, Burnish, with a highlight of their Olive ClickStick. Use with their Void pencil eyeliner.

Always black mascara, it really brings out any eye color.

Some makeup artists used green shadows on green eyes but I personally found that made the green eye look less dramatic and eventually washed it out.

First, I start with a primer. I use Elizabeth Arder lid primer.

Second, I use a pencil to line the top and bottom lash line, at night for a more dramatic look I start with black and then smudge it a bit and then use purple over it for the color, which makes green stand out.

Third, I cover my lid with a light pink above the liner line.

Forth, I use a dark purple or burgandy shadow in the crease using more at the outer edge.

Fifth, I use a Gold shimmer loose powder on the lid right above the liner line between the liner line and the crease shadow, then I take a little brush with a tiny bit of the gold and smudge the lower lash liner. The gold is great with green eyes, it makes them pop!

sixth, I use a light shimmer cream or pink (very light pink) for the brow bone under your eyebrow and put a bit in the inner corner of your eye too, it makes you look more awake!

Finish off with a great mascara matching your hair color, I use black because I have very dark brown/black hair.

Pencils - Mac water proof eye pencil in aubergine
Make Up Forever waterproof pencil in black and dark purple

Shadows - Lancome sharp focus in Snap (purple)
Nars Arctic (burgandy duo) Nars has extreme pigment in their colors which makes it more dramatic and has great staying power.
Elizabeth Arden Tulle 06 (pink) They have a gerorous
dark purple too and this shadow is so smooth going
on, it never streaks or flakes. The pink is great all over
the lid for a base.
Bare Essentials gold shimmer loose powder and light
pearl Celestial loose powder.

Mascara - Dior Show waterproof in black

It sounds like a lot of time but it doesn't take much time at all once you get it down.
Green eyes are an asset...believe me!!!

And no...this doesn't make you look like a hooker. You have to use the products to enhance not take over!

actually a good light green and a light shade of blue together(not literally, but on top or bottom of each other) works wonders. there is a make up out there at wal-mart in the cosmetics section that offers eye shadows for different eye colors.

Dark purple looks wonderful, ad a reddish copper really makes them pop, because red is compemetary with green!

I usually use gold or brown. Purple looks good too, and so does a little shimmery white shadow with thick black liner.
