Or will it just be installed onto the computer? Just curious.

This is my first time ordering from Dell.

I'm surprised I placed the order on Monday and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow! :) I am soooooo excited. It's our first BRAND NEW not handed down computer!!!! :) It will be our 3rd computer though!

A Dell Recovery disk should come with the system that includes a copy of the operating system and any device drivers for the components that came with the system.

The disc you will get is a recovery disc, it does however have the windows XP installation files there, minus the setup program.

If you need to repair windows XP, sadly the way would like you to do it, is via the repair disc, and the trash that Dell pre-loads on those machines is always annoying, and slows the machine more than helps it.

It will be installed on the computer, and you'll get a "recovery disk" that can only be used on that computer. If you selected the option when you bought it, sometimes you will also get a hard copy of an actual Windows XP disc with key.
