During my first pregnancy, my husband and I ate at a local Mexican restaurant probably 3 times a week and every time I got the same thing-shredded chicken w/ jack cheese enchilladas w/ Mexican rice. During my third pregnancy, I craved bean burritos and cherry icees towards the end. This pregnancy I am CRAVING JUNK! Lots of VERY sour candy, chocolate, ice cream... nothing drastically weird, just annoying. I wish I craved like, salad or something, instead of junk

Sponges...but not just any kind. They had to be the natural, fluffy tan kind. I would take a new one into the tub with me and let water from the faucet (no tub water...it wasn't that bad) fill up the sponge and would chew on it until the water was gone.....then I would turn the faucet on and start again. This would continue until I got out of the bath....I stopped taking showers so that I could hop in the tub instead, because I so badly craved the taste and sensation of chewing on the sponge!

Black top/tar from the street.

They were re-paving our street with hot black top/tar. It smelled so good that I actually went outside an asked the Supervisor for a bit of it to chew (but not to swallow). He thought that I was
crazy.

I also craved runny egg sandwiches with tomatoes. I can't stand that now.

As well I also craved (and still do) oil from our oil tank which goes to our burned in the basement. Of course I never tasted it, but I loved the smell while pregnant and still do to this day.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

My mother craved coffee grounds when she was pregnant with my brother. She ate them right out of the can and loved them. She told us that after she gave birth she tried to eat them and almost threw up!
Just goes to show what "hormones" can do to a pregnant woman! (I've heard of women craving cardboard -- don't know why they do, though. So you're not unique in that craving.)

I put mustard on everything. I started my day everyday with a breakfast sandwich that was a bagel an egg cheese ham mustard and mayo, then lunch I'd always want a grilled tuna with cheese and tons of mustard, I'd buy store potato salad and add mustard. Everything had to be mustard.
