There is a fairly high probability that working in Information Systems will involve someone in organising and interrogating databases partly or wholly containing natural scientific data. Some appreciation of the natural meaning and interdependency of the data will therefore help.

Two reasons:
1. It is useful information that you may have to call on in your profession.
2. If you attend an accredited college you need to take at least one science class to earn a bachelors degree, you should also have had to take a few other humanties courses. While a bachelors degree focuses on a major (IT) you also need some broad field subjects.

Most majors just want you to have a life science course. For IT though, the field of bioinformatics is really taking off now. That's where you put life science stuff into a database and and manipulate it that way.

Sounds like you're doing OK with your course selection--you want to be very strong in English; guess your school doesn't offer Latin?--that's ok, Italian will help. Maybe a speech class? Or even drama, if you're thinking courtroom lawyer. And, once in a while, for a break, buy one of those "Logic" puzzle magazines and do the puzzles. Helps your rational thinking. And, of course, a wide general-knowledge education is good.
