When a child is born who is mixed with black and white do you notice that if they look more like a black person they tend to associate more with black people, and if they look more like a white person they tend to socialize with white people? I have many mixed cousins and friends and I have seen evidence of this in many cases. I just wanted to know if other people see this as well and your opionion if you have one.

Mixing races should be a no no! But I do love me a good white woman sometimes. Holla!

I see the same thing. i am raising 2 bi-racial nieces and one looks more black and one looks more white. the one that looks black has a lot of black friends, and the one that looks white and has the freckles has almost all white friends. i don't know why that is but i think it may have something to do with which group of people would be more accepting of them.

Yes I have also noticed this! I think its all about being where u feel excepted and alike others! Know what I mean? Even in highschool all the smart kids are together- all the jocks- all the blacks- whites and so on. I think its just cuz they feel more comfortable and accepted! Noone wants to be where they feel unwelcome!

I'm not sure if YOU noticed, but the world (especially America, I would know) is still very divided by race - ipso facto, whiter mix children hang out with who they identify with and blacker mix children hand out with who they identify with.

i'm half philippino and half white, and i don't feel like i identify with either. when i'm with my white side of the family, i'm the darkest one in the photos, and the whitest one on my philippino side of the family.

and looks-wise, i think it's definitely clear that i'm a mix of both.

and my friends are all different colors!
