Roger Daltrey, unless it's a song one of the other guys sings... Then THAT guy is the "lead" singer. (Perhaps it'd be better to call Daltrey the "primary" singer.)
Who was the "lead" singer of The Beatles? Whoever was singing at the time.

Roger Daltrey-
They formed in 1963 actually under the name The Detours (Keith Moon wasn't the drummer until '65). They changed their name to The Who in 1964.
