I work in a candy factory boxing and shipping fudge 55 hours a week.
Every time when people ask me what I do for a living they laugh hysterically when I reply, I'm a fudge packer."
I'm beginning to develop a complex. What should I do?

Explain to them the fudge making process, they may be very interested and consider what you do exciting even if it is packing.

If you're not joking, I'd say rephrase your job title.
I told people for years that my Dad was a stripper and got loads of laughs that I never understood.
Till my mom told me his correct job title was a lithographer.
