My wife just started working at a restaurant and has been texting a guy that she works with almost every night. She doesn it when I am not in the room or not around. And now when I am at work during the day she is texting him even more.

She is my wife and has recently been diagnosed as bipolar. We have had some problems before she was diagnosed, and right now she is not taking any medication.

This is extremely inappropriate and your wife needs to have respect for her marriage. It is never OK to have a friend of the opposite sex when you are married unless it is your husbands friend and the wife's friend. You need to ask her to see what she is texting him and if she refuses to show you then there is an even bigger problem. If it was a girlfriend she was texting then no you should need to see it but another guy, come on that is sneaky and inappropriate. Calmly talk to her and say I have always trusted you but this is not sitting well with me and you could ease my mind a little if you let me see what you are talking to each other about. If she gets defensive simply say, I am your husband and I love you and hope you will stop this because it is really making me uncomfortable. Surely this new friendship is not more important that your relationship, and she will respect your wished

You have to be fair. Would you text a girl you work with? If you did, would she get jealous? If she would get jealous...then it's wrong what she's doing. It's okay for married people to have friends of the opposite sex, but when the friendship consumes her to the point where she is texting every free chance she gets, then the friendship has obviously become too involved. She can do it with a girlfriend all she wants, but has to be more careful around the opposite sex as there's a fine line she doesn't want to cross. You need to tell her it bothers you. If she cares about you, she'll stop.

I believe you have a problem here. She should be texting you, not some other guy. I mean, she is your wife for crying out loud. This is not about being jealous, it's about if your wife is being faithful or not. She married you because you're also her best friend so I don't understand why she needs any other guy out there to text to. Be careful!

If you care about your marriage you have to talk to her and go to marriage counseling. What she is doing is that she is making a bond with this person and it has to stop now. She has to stop it because the bond grows as time passes by. In a strict point of view most people cheat because they need companionship, understanding and they look for it outside their marriage. You two need to understand what the marriage lacks so you can feel complete.
People think that you cheat when you have sex with any other person outside the marriage, but that is not true. What she is doing right now is called " Emotional Infidelity" and like i said she has this special bond with somebody else.

Please seek professional help because open your eyes and i am telling you, your marriage is not working and if you want to save it you have to act now.

Best of wishes to you and your spouse. She needs you by her side. Good Luck!!

Yeah you should be jealous and curious!!!!
You need to go to the restaurant and befriend this new buddy of hers, see for yourself if there is any tension in the air. You could always ask to see the text's... If that doesn't work try to get her phone to check the text's. It is okay to be a snoop once in awhile.
Good luck.

Jealousy is fear in disguise. People get jealous when they are afraid of something. With your wife texting another guy, I completely understand there is fear about what exactly is going on with this guy. In my opinion, you need to ask her what is going on and to be open and honest about everything. If her texting with this guy makes you feel unsafe in your relationship, then she needs to stop doing it, regardless of the reasons that she is doing it. Why can't she text him in front of you? Will she let you see what she is texting to him? What is so important that she needs to text him all the time? Good luck!

Jealous no but may not be a bad idea to find out what those texts are about. Unless you enjoy her texting? Some husbands do if you know what i mean.

Absolutely.....and should probably confront her about it.....get a handle on the situation before she takes it to far....if's she says she has nothing to hide....then she shouldn't have a problem letting your read the texts...if it's truely innocent...then I wouldn't worry...but, if she's trying to hide it, and doing it behind your back...there is cause for concern. Good luck!!

Confront her. If she is not willing to show you what he is txting her than obviously she has something to hide. Ask her how she would feel in a similar situation. In fact why don't you try it out. Ask a buddy for help in this experiment and do exactly what she is doing. She will quickly get the message.

Yes, you should be jealous. How do you know this though? Are you a very jealous type? Are you always suspicious and not so trusting?

Because if so, it could be very innocent but she's afraid to tell you because you'll get upset.
