i think i left one in but i cannot found it. had an ultrasound yesterday. they did not say anything about it so i did not mention it 'cause i figured i must have taken it out or it fell out in the potty. but i still am wondering if it is there. This is gross I know. I feel like an idiot. I was hoping it might show up on the ultrasound and then i'd know for sure. It was a vaginal ultrasound

No a tampon can not be seen on vaginal ultrasound......and it is possible to get the wand in there with a tampon in. Surely you can reach up in there with your finger and feel if it is there or not. The vagina isn't a bottomless pit. If the tampon is there you would be able to find it!

Were you to have already had this ultrasound you would know that it would be impossible to have it done with a tampon in. The ultrasound wand is placed into the vagina and it must be visualized to do this. Something isn't quite right with this question.

If you can not physically pull or feel the tampon in your vagina with your fingers. I think you need to make an appointment to see your OB/GYN. Leaving a tampon can cause horrible infections. ( TSS ) Bacterial infections. Please go see your doc if you can not find it.
