Pretty hefty. Most likely jail time. They don't take that crap lightly at all.

If it's a drug offense, especially if you were caught selling drugs in a school zone the penalties are usually doubled. I personally think anyone selling drugs to children should be locked away for at least 15 years. If an adult wants to slowly kill them self thats one thing. A child doesn't know that the poison being sold to them under the guise of "getting high" can ruin their life.

In the US it depends on which state you are in. Each state sets its own penalties.
New Mexico, for example:
100 lbs or less within a drug-free school zone (first offence) felony 3 years $5,000
100 lbs or less within a drug-free school zone (subsequent offence) felony 9 years $10,000
More than 100 lbs within a drug-free school zone (first offence) felony 9 years $10,000
More than 100 lbs within a drug-free school zone (subsequent offence) felony 18 years $15,000

you are pretty much guaranteed a felony!!!! Look at any city map and practically the entire city is set up with schools and parks to make the entire city a drug free school zone.

it varies from state to state. usually twice the norm.
alchohol,tobacco and firearms are included in this "drug" law.
the distance from school properties vary as well.1000' to 2000' depending on the state.
