I have a moderate/severe dysplasia. OB said it goes farther into cervix that the top. Please help!!! How effective is LEEP in my case. Will it get rid of all the bad cells from the 1st try?

!5 years ago I had Severe dysplasia (pre cancer) I had the leep and have been fine every since.( Until my husband cheated on me and I'm right where I started 15 years ago thanks to him) Most of the time it does its job and gets rid of the "bad cells". My Leep was very successful 15 years ago and it was brand new procedure back then. So that should say something for the LEEP procedure. I hope this releives your fears a little, nothing will take the fear totally away till the Doctor tells you it was complete success. Good luck to you!

When I had mine done about a month ago, my doctor got all of it out. But depending on where all of the cells are located, it might take one or two tries to get it all out.
