The Dell Latitude D610 is really good. I bought it for uni because it is really light: only 2.12kg, has 4 USB ports and a 2GB memory. It also has good battery life.
I can store loads of music, pictures and other media software on it. It comes with an antivirus software but i suggest you get Norton Internet Security as well.
The only thing is it is a little expensive, but trust me it is well worth it!
If you do find it too expensive I recommend any other Dell laptop because they are v.reliable.

http://www.itreviews.co.uk/hardware/hard17.htm Check out these reviews for some laptops. The best way to choose a good laptop is to be informed about whats a good brand and whats a bad one. That way you can determine quality and then look at price.
