If the "stones" are gall stones - the surgery is very basic and quite safe. Usually the recovery takes a week or so. Find something else to worry about.

I have had my gall bladder removed because of stones. It was not bad at all. I was a little sore but other than that I felt fine. I had a few minor resrtictions like no driving or lifting a week or so but it was not bad at all. I know you are worried. I think everybody worries when their loved one is having surgery. I am sure that she will be ok. I will keep her in my prayers and I am sure everything will turn out fine

It's normal that you worry, I mean it's surgery but you shouldn't too much. My sister had gall stones in her stomach also and the surgery was a success. She just was in bed for a week or two.

It will most definitely be a success. I think that any surgery is major but on the scale of 1-10, (1 being minor and 10 bieng major) I think that type of surgery is about a 4

Atleast it's not her heart or her brain, those are 10's.

She will be fine. She has you for support and that's just as good as medication!!

Good luck to you and your mom!!
