First of all, the one who is racially abusive, is the one who needs psychological treatment. Don't take his/her words seriously as spoken by an ill person or a lunatic. Dogs bark, we, as humans don't bark in return to them to become as low as dogs ourselves. However, if you feel racially abused systematically by carefully planned effort via group of people, then it is a serious problem which can only be solved by courts and armies, not by an individual. Get out of this type of explosive situation and never return to the same place if you can. However, if you can't avoid living amongst racially hateful people, then you got no other choice except IGNORE. However, I believe, if a pigeon shuts his eyes, the cat does not go away. So, get out of that situation and go to a safer place instead of trying to be a brave fool individual.

Violence solves a great deal of problems, or at least allows you some time (after a fight) to rethink your situation and come up with alternative plans of action.

If you are in a situation that calls for violence, a good beatdown will make your adversary think twice about messing with you again. They will move on to easier prey.

Bullies only understand violence ... look at WW2, Iraq, Kuwait, or any fight on a playground. Irrational people cannot be reasoned with, so the only language they undertaken is a bloody nose and a blackened eye.

There is always one that needs to feel different, no matter how dumb it makes him look. ^(I'm not saying any names)^.

Anyway, no doubt in my mind I would defend myself. I was caught off guard once in my life when someone threw racist comments my way. NEVER again, it hurt a lot but, today I WON'T and I DON'T put up with it. I will be sure to say my peace. Especially as a advocate for human rights I will intervene on ANYONES behalf if they are being racially or sexually harassed.

And about violence it never solves anything. It only adds fuel to the fire and burns up any hopes of peace. VIOLENCE LEADS TO MORE VIOLENCE!

You fight, they fight, everybody fights. Nothing is solved, just more hate saved for a later day...

It takes a bigger man/woman to walk away from a fight than to start one. Now if someone comes after you, there's nothing wrong with self defense!

Just be smart, don't charge into a crowd of 9-10 skinheads just because somebody threw something at you. All you'll solve that way is which hospital you'll owe big $$$

I have had this happen before..all through life. As a black woman that doesn't discriminate on who I date, I had to deal with quite a bit. My first kiss/relationship outside of the box was at 15 with my friend of almost 17 yrs. who happens to be Apache/Caucasian. His mom was stupid and confused at the time and Remember her husband was Indian.
She was prejudiced against me!! It lead to a lot of problems tween them and I broke up to keep them from falling out. Yet we have been in each others lives all this time and when I stood up to her one day she simply accepted me. I didn't have to fight her, curse her out, or demean her. I simply told her I loved him with all my heart and he loves me. We will always have a bond.

does it solve anything with the same race nope, and I agree fighting is the wimp way out especially if you use a gun
In any disagreement it's best resolved talking it out and if it can't be done that way both walk away because you will never agree you both will be banging your heads against a brick wall

violence will never solve any problem regardless of why the conflict started. i think walking away is not being a wimp, in my opinion it makes you the bigger person. fighting only adds fuel to the fire.

well, to be honest..i don't take racial comments very well...when someone says something that just doesn't sound right..i always have something to say......and to be honest..when they go on and on talking there crap i start swinging........but honestly i don't think that fighting is the right answer..i'm taking anger management classes and the best way to handle it is to just be the bigger person and leave it alone
