THE GOP or "GRAND OLD PARTY" is the Republican Party...dude they just lost control....to the Democrats. You are going to have to wait until 2008 for the hope that the GOP wins back control of Congress. As for the Iraq mess that is whole other ball of wax. You need to study a little more on political nomenclature.

I think you're a little confused. The GOP controls congress NOW, but will not after January. And the Iraq mess (if you mean the war) was instigated by a Republican.

Reread the Question...It states the reverse of facts;
In fact when the Democrats do gain the control of congress in 2007(January), they will have the opportunity
to modify the GOP(Republican) Iraq mess(insurrection) but to No avail....Only the IRAQI govt and peoples(sunni,kurds & shi'ite and others), only these can efffect a
change!

However, I think we'll find that most all their campaign talk was just lies.
Hillary is still supporting Bush all the way in Iraq.
