u know, i was just thinking about this yesterday having seen this question before. i do, i admit. when im in school, feeling bored out of my mind or something, i sit there and talk to myself. I daydream a lot too, and have convo's in my head, like me and Joe Jonas hooking up lol, or something, but a lot of people do, it's great, and the only person to talk back to u is u. lol

Constantly...it freaked out my students and that's how I learned to control it. I would start making noises or talking about things while they were answering their exams and it was totally quiet. I noticed I did it cause one time I raised my head and saw the whole classroom just staring at me, I was commenting about a case I was reviewing (date rape...not nice) and they were all in shock.

Yes, most of the time to remind myself(and it turns out I don't need to) or just entertaining myself when I'm bored.
