The Best offense is the Chargers. They've got L.T. and Rivers. The Best Defense is the Ravens. They've got something at every position.

offense- the Saints, no matter how much times they throw, the other team cant seem to stop it. going into games against the saints, teams know the saints throw alot, and prepare for it alot, but the saints just seem to know where to attack the defense, and how to attack it.
the Chargers are a close second, with LT in there that offense is scary. same idea as before, everyone knows that SD will run the ball, yet they can't stop it. however i would like to see more positions solitified before i would say they are the best offense. and a little more dicipline from the WRs, like throwing balls to the ground when they are not down.
Defense- the bears (with the ravens a close second). the Bears' defense is really good, especially their ability to take away the ball. Not only that, but Chicago Defense is the main reason chicago won so many games this year. Chicago leads in takeaways (40) and the ravens are actually starting to look like the bears' strategy, in which a year ago the ravens had very few turnovers, and this year is #2 (with 32)
Ravens are also starting to run alot of drills the bears run, and in their last draft, they drafted players that physically reflected on the bears' team last year.
thats how good the bears defense is

Best offense: San Diego Chargers: They've scored 425 points so far this year, that puts them on pace to be in the top five offenses of all time by the end. Enough said.
Best defense: I want to say Ravens because they've played well against better teams, but the Bears D is the only reason they aren't an 8-8 team right now. I'm back and forth on this one, but I'll say the Bears for now.

Best Offense: New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees is averaging over 300 yds a game, only needs a few more to brake Marino's record. He also has recievers, full backs, and running backs scoring. An offense that can successfully spread the ball around is a dangerous offense!
Best Defense: The Baltimore Ravens. That defense scores at least 14 points a game, this is also dangerous. Not to mention all the sacks and forced fumbles...need i say more?

Chargers who are ranked #1 overall in scoring offense and #4 in overall defense. Chicago would be first but Grossman is no where near how good he was when the season started. When they were forcing 35 points a game while only given up 6.

Chargers offense.
Bears defense.
Why is this even a question? The only people who would disagree with the Bears are Ravens fans. They're an excellent team; don't get me wrong, but as far as defense is concerned the Bears got em beat.

The Chargers and LT, That TE.
The Ravens and the Bears beat the hell out of people. When the Saints went against the Ravens it looked like the Saints were afraid to be on the same field, Can you spell INTIMIDATION.....
