No-the lion was BORN free, she just didn't end up that way. ANd yes, if it was still free, it would have eaten somebody.

no it was free to come and go as it pleased and it chose not to take someones head off.

define freedom, even those who are free must live within the confines of accepted group behavior.

Therefore it was not free.
