Well if the Beatles are not first, then they are second. Why are they so overrated when they influenced so many bands and rewrote the genre of rock? But I guess making 2 albums a year for almost 8 years is just childsplay huh? For crying out loud, who do you think gave way to the making of Psychedelic rock with their album Sgt. Peppers (which by the way is on Rolling Stone's top 500 greatest albums and it is NUMBER 1!!!!! and like 4 of their other albums are in the top 10) No doubt about it, The Beatles should come in second.

I am a little bit torn. I love the Stones, however I do not suppose that they're the "finest rock and roll band" centered on their tune, although I rather LOVE so much in their stuff. I can suppose of a couple of bands that, in my view, are higher musically. However I do suppose they're the finest within the appreciate that they're just about old (I have a few suspicions that Keith Richards might honestly be a zombie who has risen from the grave), and they're nonetheless rockin' as rough at present as they did after they have been younger.

it seems that way, cuz rock n roll band they are the best, but remember than being one of the first, does not really mean the best..

also, zeppelin cannot be under the same category, the only rock n roll bands that should deal with the stones are aerosmith, kinks, steppenwolf, deep purple...

I don't agree with your statement. I believe that Led Zeppelin was a far better band Musically. If you had seen the super bowl you wouldn't thing of the stones as you do.. I was embarrassed for them.

I love the stones too, sure they're old now but they rocked in their day! I'll say AC/DC comes second!
It's hard to categorize rock bands, cause you've got classical rock, modern rock...
